We arrived in Quito a couple of days before flying to Baltra for our Galápagos cruise. After making our reservation, we switched hotels, but the company quickly adjusted our pickup location without any issues. Our guide, Ayrton, communicated with us through WhatsApp, and everything was seamless from the start. Before beginning the tour, he took the time to learn more about us and what we wanted from the day. He listened carefully and adjusted several activities based on our interests and preferences. Ayrton is only 28, I believe, but this young man was truly outstanding. He knows the history, geography, weather, and topography of Ecuador exceptionally well. Just as importantly, he understands what excellent service looks like. We could not have asked for a better guide!

Experiencia inolvidable!

Awe- inspiring
Highly recommend this tour!! I travel solo, so it was just me and the guide which is exactly what I wanted. No large tour group or having to make awkward conversations with strangers. The tour is tailored to you. What I mean by that is, if you need to use the restroom or want to stop for snacks, just tell your guide and they’ll stop. If you want to skip the lagoon, you can do that. It’s more than just those things, but the point is that they want you to have a good time and will do what they can to make sure you are happy and comfortable. The horseback riding is super fun, and the scenery is stunning.

A Trip Highlight
I truly had an wonderful time on this experience. I'd never be comfortable navigating the drives on my own, so having Ayrton there getting me to the gorgeous locations I'd otherwise miss and providing all sorts of help and insight, was an absolute blessing. I'd highly recommend this experience and Ayrton!

Amazing day out !!
We had the best time with Ayrton, our guide. Very professional and knowledgeable. We saw so many places, including feeding some Llamas! The waterfall was amazing. Highly recommend this tour and company !
"Pedro was a fantastic tour guide. I'd highly recommend booking this tour, it's a combo of shared tours with a guide and a tour. What's even better is he acts as your have your own personal photographer and if you have dietary requirements this is perfect, since we don't know the language Pedro handled everything. He was professional, communicative and always on time. We saw so much stunning wildlife and the tour it's self was a kinda flexible...."

How Our Galapagos Trip Packages Work
How to Get There
Fly from Quito to Baltra or San Cristóbal in about two hours. We plan every package around your flights and include airport pickups and inter-island ferry transfers.
What's Included
Island hotels, speedboat transfers between islands, a bilingual naturalist guide, the scheduled day tours and breakfasts. Each Galapagos tour package lists exactly what is and is not included.
Best Time to Visit
The Galápagos is a year-round destination: December to May brings warm seas, June to November peak wildlife. Our Galapagos vacation packages run in every season.
Land Tour or Cruise? How to Choose Your Galapagos Package
Both show you the wildlife. The difference is where you sleep and how far you can reach.
Choose a land-based tour if you want a hotel bed every night, shorter boat rides, free evenings in town and a lower price. It suits families, first-timers and travelers who get seasick.
Choose a cruise if your priority is the remote western and northern islands (Fernandina, Genovesa), which only live-aboard boats can reach.
Our land packages cost from USD 569 per person for 4 days to USD 1,279 for 7 days, depending on room occupancy, hotel category and season. On top of the package you pay the round-trip flight from Quito or Guayaquil to the islands, the Galápagos National Park entrance fee (USD 200 for foreign adults) and the USD 20 Transit Control Card bought at the airport. For more ways to save, read our guide to the Galapagos on a budget.
Galapagos Tours from Quito: Add the Andes and the Amazon
Most flights to the Galápagos leave from Quito, so the islands pair naturally with the mainland. Travelers usually add two nights in Quito, a volcano day at Cotopaxi or our 4 day Amazon tour from Quito. Our ready-made Ecuador and Galapagos tours join the mainland and the islands in 9, 12 or 14 days. See all Ecuador vacation packages, or tell us your dates and we will build one itinerary with flights, hotels and guides from Quito to the islands.

Tours with local, bilingual guides
The Andes, the Amazon and the Galápagos in one plan
You fly from Quito to Baltra (for Santa Cruz) or San Cristóbal in about two hours. All our Galapagos trip packages include flight guidance, airport transfers, and the National Park entrance logistics.
What is included in a Galapagos trip package?
Island hotels, speedboat transfers between islands, a bilingual naturalist guide, the scheduled day tours and breakfasts; some packages include more meals. Each package page lists exactly what is included and what is not.
Our land-based packages start at USD 569 per person for 4 days, USD 879 for 5 days and USD 1,279 for 7 days. Flights, the USD 200 National Park entrance fee and the USD 20 Transit Control Card are paid separately. Land-based island hopping costs much less than a cruise of the same length.
Which islands can I visit on a Galapagos island hopping package?
Santa Cruz, Isabela, and San Cristóbal are the three bases with hotels and daily boat connections. From there you can take day trips to Tintoreras, Santa Fe, Pinzón, and more.
What is a land-based Galapagos tour?
A land-based tour, also called island hopping, means you sleep in hotels in the island towns and visit wildlife sites on guided day trips by boat and on foot, instead of living on a cruise ship.
Is a Galapagos land tour cheaper than a cruise?
Usually yes. A week on land with hotels, guides and day tours costs a fraction of a mid-range 8-day cruise, and you can choose simpler or better hotels to fit your budget.
Are flights to the Galapagos included in the packages?
No. Fares from Quito or Guayaquil change daily, so we quote them separately and can book them for you together with the tour.
What is the Galapagos National Park entrance fee?
Foreign adults pay USD 200 on arrival at the islands, plus USD 20 for the Transit Control Card bought at the airport in Quito or Guayaquil before the flight. Neither is included in the package price.
How far ahead should I book a Galapagos tour package?
Three to six months ahead is ideal, and earlier for July, August and Christmas. Yacht day tours to Bartolomé and North Seymour have daily visitor limits and sell out first.
Can I combine a Galapagos package with the Amazon or the Andes?
Yes. Quito is the gateway for most flights, so we often combine a Galápagos package with Quito, Cotopaxi, Baños or a 4 day Amazon tour into one trip.
Can you arrange a or tailor-made Galapagos trip?
Yes. We can make any package upgrade hotels, change the order of the islands or add day tours. Send us your dates and group size and we will design it with you.
